I am looking at yr Service and am a little confused at yr costs. Am looking at Service Pack 3 plus real time Nyse, Naz Service package 3 @ $24/month Exchange Fees Nyse/Naz $10.50/month Then do I have to choose a set No of quotes, ie 100 at $35/month etc. Making total @ $ 70.00/Month Mny tks in advance.

Mny tks yr reply The last part I do not understand..???? Then do I have to choose a set No of quotes, ie 100 at $35/month etc. If I only want a chart service, with real time stock quotes, why do u restrict me to a set number of mkts/quotes and at a charge that doubles yr monthly cost and to all yr competition, who do not put such a restriction on....I may be missing something here . Yrs confused.

Because the exchanges are greedy, to put it kindly. That is why. These are not our policies. The data feed cost and exchange fee is not paid to us. The pricing that overall we provide is very low and lower than competition. And you cannot make any comparison to what we offer to brokers who are in a very different position than we are, and can negotiate special deals with exchanges. For example IQ feed, another data service that we support, is going to cost about 100 USD a month. Any independent data feed, not a broker providing real-time data with true data from the NYSE and NASDAQ that is in proper compliance, is going to not be free or very inexpensive. In the case of BATS, you still do have to pay for the data feed because it comes through our data provider Barchart. Although the exchange fee is less: BATS (NYSE, NASDAQ) 4.25 USD/month The pricing for Service Package 3 is here: Description of Service Packages and Pricing Also BATS is part of the CBOE. We have contacted them ourselves, to find out about offering that exchange directly at a lower cost to our users. They just ignore us. One thing we are going to do is add support for the market data feed from the Investors Exchange which will be a free stock data feed, but we do not really know about the trading volumes on that exchange. Ok mny. mny Tks for yr helpfull replies. So to recap a Service Pack 3, $ 24.00 , Bats $ 4.25 and Data feed @$ 35.00 = $ 63.25 / Month Gotta think about it....once again tks for all yr help and lots of luck in the future.
