Hi It has been a long time since I have had to make any changes to my Sierra trading software. This is a good thing. Thanks you for providing a stable product! Over time my charts have become complicated and I do not want to lose the work. Want to back up all my charts, delete Sierra charts from my PC completely and reinstall newest version. Any files Sierra chart may have created or used need to be deleted. Registry information also. Want this to be a clean install no residual information from previous installation. Reinstall Sierra software and restore my custom chart configuration. This includes back ground colors, global setting ect. Have searched Sierra site on how to do but obviously not using correct search wording. Can you send me a link to the information I need. Thank You |

This does not really make sense. Sierra Chart is quality software and not junk software which scatters data throughout a system. It does not use the registry. However, the information you are looking for can be found here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails39.html Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I know this is a old post but this might be helpful for anyone else that searches it on google. Here's the link to the documentation I use in this case and works perfectly for transferring saved settings to new installation. Just make sure to keep a current backed up copy of your Sierra Charts installation/s and its ready to go no matter the issue (Corrupted HDD, Corrupted Windows installation or whatever else fails.... But it sure won't be Sierra Chart that fails, best piece of software I've ever used!) Transferring Sierra Chart Settings and Data From Existing Installation to New Installation Copy over the backup files BEFORE 1st startup of the new installation and its done. (Uncheck the launch after installation box before running the installer) Only thing I'm still having a issue with is having to remap the custom sound files I have again each time but that's due to them being held externally from Sierra Charts sound folder as far as I can tell. (But about to try and fix this by setting them up in the SC Sound folder.) Date Time Of Last Edit: 2017-03-28 20:01:46
