Hello I have two seperate questions Firstly, I have a spreadsheet system for trading that I am currently using on the EUR/USD. I was wondering if there was a simple way to use the same spreadsheet system with other currency pairs like USD/CHF, EUR/GBP, USD/GBP etc... all on LMAX without having to create a new spreadsheet for each symbol/chart and copy paste the spreadsheet settings for entries and exits etc.. Secondly, once I have the spreadsheet system set up for several symbols/currency pairs, would it be possible that the system only goes long if there is not a long position already. I know that there is the setting allow multiple entries in same direction within one spreadsheet. What I am looking for is for exmaple that when Im long with the system for EUR/USD, That the other system for e.g. USD/CHF does not go long because I am already long in EUR/USD. I hope you understand my two issues, feel free to ask if the question is unclear. Many many thanks for your help Date Time Of Last Edit: 2017-11-18 11:50:15

1. This is documented here: Spreadsheet Studies Special Tasks: Applying Configured Spreadsheet Study on Other Charts 2. Make sure that all of your trading systems are contained within the same Spreadsheet but use different Sheets. You can then use references to their Position Quantity cells to prevent a trade in the others. Thank you very much. I was now able to set up my single spreadsheet system for several charts using several different sheets. However, I then tried to reference other Sheets using for example Sheet2!J5 it did not work properly. All the other sheets seem to copy the reference from sheet1. So the Sheet2!J5 > 0 setting from Sheet1 also appears in Sheet 2. So I cant use references to other sheets Position Quantity cells to prevent a trade in the others. Below is a small graphical explanation: What it should look like: Sheet1 -> Sheet2!J5, Sheet2 -> Sheet1!J5 What it actually looks like: Sheet1 -> Sheet2!J5, Sheet2 -> Sheet2!J5 Great Thanks you for your help. |
