is there a way to duplicate what is being shown in the video below for sierra charts? Essentially if the footprint has a diagonoal imbalance of "x %" it triggers a buy sell zone which extends until the bar periodicity closes above/ below that zone in the future. The video explains this very starting at 29:13-31:00

This is something that would have to be custom programmed which is possible but not within the scope of our support. It is not something directly supported by Sierra Chart.

www.emojitrading.com/massive-imbalance will take a price level that exceeds a user-specified diagonal imbalance (or absolute volume level) and forward project a zone by a user-specified number of bars and/or an extension line that will project forward until price trades at that level again.

If the Edge Zones are as simple as a diagonal imbalance of x%, this is a 99% implementation that's been available for over a year, the only difference being the extension line projection ending when price trades at that level vs when the bar closes above/below the level.

We are working on some zone projection enhancements that will be released shortly. We are also looking at the Edge Zones to check if they simply are an 'x%' implementation. If that's all they are, they're not especially valuable. We noted the comment in the video that 'they're even better when they don't work'. So, they're good when they work and even better when they don't. Sounds like the perfect indicator! :)

Is there a way to color code a diagonal imbalance of "x %" in the 'numbers bars' study settings in Sierra Chart?

Yes. It is simply a matter of determining which Background Coloring Method (or Text Coloring Method) would work for what you want. Setting the Coloring as you need it. And setting the Percent Compare or Actual Compare Thresholds to what you desire.

The documentation can all be found here:
Numbers Bars

We understand that the Numbers Bars is a complicated study with a lot of options, but that is also why we cannot go in depth for every question related to it. You will need to work through the various options to determine what will work best for you.

Is there another video on the imbalance Number Bars and Edge Zones?
The link provided is unfortunately dead.

Thanks
