Regarding this Chart Settings: Volume at Price Multiplier for Historical/Intraday Chart (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Data >> Volume at Price menu) if VAP Multiplier is set to 2, the Tick Size is 1, then the prices 101 and 102 are grouped together, into the 102 price level. There will be no separate 101 price level. A VAP Multiplier setting of 10 would mean that the Tick Size is multiplied by 10 and prices are group together into this multiple.
does that mean that IF VAP @101 is 2 + VAP @102 is 3 the final output is 5? or IF VAP @102 is 3 the final output is 6, 3 times multiplier of 2 in explanation above? Thanks! |

So if I have a volume profile and the volume at the current price( say 102 again) of the current bar showed a total volume of 100 and the VAP multiplier was set to 2, and I wanted to paint a bar with this parameters, would the formula be, VAP(C,0) = 100 or do I have to add up VAP at 101 and 102 using this approach AVAP(H - (TICKSIZE * 1), 0)? or IF VAP @102 is 3 the final output is 6, 3 times multiplier of 2 in explanation above?
We do not understand this.Lol! it doesn't matter but, I was asking if by setting the multiplier by x in this case 3, it would just take the volume at 102 and multiply it by 3... I was just making sure I understood correctly. Tnx! |

Also, VAP, AVAP, BVAP, don't work on spreadsheets? I'm getting a #name error

Really we have to create a formula example that corresponds with the VAP multiplier. We will do that. Those functions do not work on spreadsheets. No, this does not make sense. When using a VAP Multiplier in Chart >> Chart Settings, you need to use a formula like the following: =VAP(MROUND(H, TICKSIZE * 2),0)=[volume to compare to] The 2 represents the VAP multiplier.
