hi. I use my own software to upload data via API. The DTC Protocol Server for realtime data works fine. But now I have found that I can not connect to the Historical Server DTC (see log). A few months ago everything worked. I did not change anything in the code. I tried everything, including on / off Require Autentication, but nothing helps. After sending Logon_Reguest (with username), we get a message "HD Server | Login rejected: Username not specified. | 2017-11-10 12:38:41" This is not true, username is entered. The same Logon_Request command for the Realtime Data Server (DTC Protocol Server) works. I do not know what's changed with you since it worked for me before. Thanks for help. We have looked into this, and definitely the username was not actually provided but probably the problem has something to do with a difference with encoding compared to what the server is expecting. What DTC encoding are you using? The default is "Binary". Refer to: DTC Messages and Procedures: Encoding Request Sequence Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Thanks for your quick response. I was able to solve the problem. Just update to version 1641 and logon_request is working again. |

Is there an option to load market data without launching the sierrachart application? For example, via HTTP GET request from your server? (for example - as can be done from quandl "https://www.quandl.com/api/v3/datasets/WIKI/FB.json?column_index=4&start_date=2014-01-01&end_date=2014-12-31&collapse=monthly&transform= rdiff & API_KEY = YOURAPIKEY "?) Thank you for your response |

Disregard the prior answer. It was deleted and meant for another thread. No, there is no way to access the data in this way. Actually the answer we gave previously was in response to post #3: Not sure why updating would have helped.
The only recent change to the DTC historical data server, was when using the server, if you have set a specific encoding in Sierra Chart other than "Automatic" that encoding would be used when previously it was not.
