If I have on the same chartbook some custom studies that use tools without assigning to them specific line numbers and some other tools to which I do assign line numbers through the code - how do I prevent a tool that received the line number automatically from getting the same line number that was assigned to another tool via the code?

You really have to let Sierra Chart always assign a line number and that is considered the only best practice at this time.

All of the ACSIL studies that Sierra Chart has, all do it that way except for the Countdown Timer study which we still have to update.

Although, if these studies are on different charts you do not have anything to be concerned about.

Thanks.
So Sierra handles the tools on each chart independently from the other charts? For an example If I delete or adjust a rectangle with a linenumber of 1000 on one chart a rectangle with the same line number on another chart will not be affected?
