Wondering if it's possible to have an order entered automatically when price hits a certain moving average? Thanks. |

Yes. The easiest way to do this is with the Spreadsheet System for Trading study which is documented here: Spreadsheet Systems, Alerts and Automated Trading Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Try to keep your questions brief and to the point. User133711, I suggest you use moving averages based on the Opening price for this. Why? Because an MA based on C or some combination other then O will move while the bar is being formed. It might touch during bar formation but NOT be touching at the finish so your system will enter and you'll get a loser that doesn't show in your reviews. I became very unpopular in a Forexfactory thread by pointing out every time the originator system gave a false (losing) trade because of this behaviour or MAs.
