Hello: I am writing to you today about the Zig Zag tool. In the past I used this tool as a method of measurement and as such, I had it configured to use a unique line configuration so I would not get it confused with other lines or rays. In the older versions of Sierra Charts, I could go into Tools Config and configure Zig Zag with its own unique configuration. However, since upgrading my pc and loading the latest version of Sierra Charts, I find that Zig Zag now uses the "Line" configuration default as its line. This makes this tool MUCH MUCH more difficult to use. If I now want to use this tool with its own unique dotted and colored line, I must take several additional steps. 1.) Once putting a Zig Zag line on my chart I need to now go into the properties of the line and select a pre-configured TC# with the desired line config. 2.) I have to repeat this step since Zig Zag has two lines. PLEASE PUT THE ZIG ZAG BACK TO THE OLD VERION SO THAT IT HAS ITS OWN UNIQUE CONFIGURATION SETTINGS. I do not feel you considered that people like using unique settings for zig zag when setting it to use the line configuration. When I am day trading, sometimes things go very quickly and I must be able to keep up. Having to do unnecessary steps is costly and very time consuming. I use this tool a lot. |

This does not make sense. We do not see any separate Tool Configuration for the Zig Zag drawing tool. This was not removed. It does rely upon the Line Configuration. However, you can have up to 24 configurations so you just use one of those: Chart Drawing Tools: Using Multiple Drawing Tool Configurations Just make sure you select the Tool >> Current Tool Config that you want before using the tool.
