i caved in and changed my daily pivots to plot directly to my tick chart.. they are now plotting the next day's pivots and also doing the floating thing (where they tick with price action).. as well as the value scale shows the values for those pivots instead of the ones that should be shown, could you please look into this and remove them? it makes no difference if i reference daily data or not if that helps http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1378742795220.png thanks Date Time Of Last Edit: 2013-09-09 16:23:33

We assume you are aware of the Forward Project Pivot Point Lines Input with the study? Simply set this to No.

im not sure.. i guess not letting the following day's pivots plot until the following day is actually traded

im seeing that they forward project 20 bars.. since tuesday is being estimated before it is actually traded those lapsing bars are being plotted as the next days pivots and are ticking with price.. so if the next day was always 21 bars away from the current bar (while the next day has not yet traded) i think that would solve it

It is really not clear how to solve this.

i really dont know either.. but i do know that it is being caused because the pivots are forward projecting 20 bars and when the following day is being estimated closer than 21 bars from the current bar, new pivots are plotted in the next day (as shown in the picture in the first post).. after some thought, i think instead of a standard 20 bar forward project.. maybe forward projecting them until the last second of the current day? or something along those lines if that is possible |

This is possible, but the implementation of it is not so simple.
