Hello, Thx for excellent software and good documentation. Most of the time I am able to figure out what I want to do from your documentation without asking for help. However in this case after reading your documentation, I still need your help. I would like to add additional columns to the quote board. If this is not possible, please suggest an alternate way to accomplish the objective. 1. I want to add values of certain studies to additional columns on the quote board. 2. I want to add alerts on the studies in the quote board. 3. I want to be able to continuously automatically scan the quote board for certain alert conditions. I READ your spreadsheet documentation and figured out how to do this for any one symbol. BUT I CAN NOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO THIS FOR ABOUT 300 SYMBOLS I AM WATCHING. I am not hung up on any certain way of doing this. I just want to be able to 1. quickly manually visualize about 300 symbols 2. I want real time scans based on five different alert conditions that are combinations of studies. I am looking forward to your help. Thx |

I asked for this a long while back. It's real complicated to do it with a spreadsheet -- and the spreadsheet eats a lot of ram or CPU. It would be nice to just populate a matrix with different instruments and their volumes and highs and lows and RSIs and MACDs and Stochastics (etc) in multiple time frames and attach alerts to them without involving a spreadsheet. SC makes it so you have to open a separate chart for each instrument, load on all the indicators you want, add more charts for different time frames of the same instrument and indicators, then port all that to separate spreadsheet pages then port all those stats to a single spreadsheet page. Any more than 5-10 instruments just isn't worth the effort and time involved. If there were an easier way to monitor the stats and attach alerts to them for multiple instruments in multiple time frames then that would be great. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2017-10-09 04:59:20

2. I want to add alerts on the studies in the quote board. 3. I want to be able to continuously automatically scan the quote board for certain alert conditions. 1. This is not supported but something similar will be supported in the coming weeks. But it will still have a dependency on charts. This cannot be avoided. 2, 3. You cannot use the Quote Board in any way for this. You need to you charts with Studies on those charts and set up alerts on those studies. Refer to: Study/Chart Alerts And Scanning It would be nice to just populate a matrix with different instruments and their volumes and highs and lows and RSIs and MACDs and Stochastics (etc) in multiple time frames and attach alerts to them without involving a spreadsheet. For more information about this, refer to:https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails69.html#StudyValuesIsNotSupportedQuoteBoard A chart is absolutely necessary for each Symbol and bar timeframe and those charts have to contain the necessary studies you want. What we are going to do is add a feature to automatically consolidate this into a study summary window so you do not have to use a Spreadsheet. sounds like an improvement -- especially if many different instruments with multiple time frames and their indicators AND the ability to add alerts to them is included all in one little window
