When i hit my daily stop limit with a OCO stop limit bracket on the trade using "Global profit loss management" . My open orders get cancelled but i stay in my position. The trade does not flatten. I have to manually flatten the position through my broker. Then as you can see it still says i am in my position. My question is why does it not flatten me out of my trade? It only takes away the open oco orders. This basically makes "global profit loss management" tool useless. Is there a way it can actually flatten my trade as well? |

Our conclusion at this point is that the market order to flatten the position was rejected. Or there was not an actual reported Position from CQG to begin with. Follow through the instructions here to provide us additional information and also the Trade Activity Log file: Trade Activity Log Analysis: Support Assisted Trade Activity Log Analysis Just provide as much information as you can. There is no additional cost for this. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Try to keep your questions brief and to the point. F.US.NGEX17 Natural Gas (Globex): November 2017 (Nov17) = "symbol" * = Trading account identifier with trading service = "account number" October 5th 2017. 9:32 AM - 10:33 AM Central Chicago time The Global profit/loss management tool triggered a few minutes after 9:32 AM. I held the trade and got out through my broker at 10:33 AM. 35906,35907,35908,35909,35910,35911,35912,35913,35914,35915,35916,35917 = "service order ID" In the "Global Profit/Loss Management" tool I have it set so my account Flattens positions when loss rules are met. My loss rule was set to -400.00 . I had a (OCO 2TargetsWithBEStop) Bracket on my trade for all 4 contracts. When my daily loss limit was met the Brackets immediately disappeared. Then i was stuck in my position and i had to exit the trade through my broker. The problem is that the position did not flatten like the functions says it would do. The only thing that happens is my stop limit brackets go away . When i tested this on Simulation the position flattens and the brackets go away. When i use this tool "live" It does not flatten my position. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2017-10-06 01:33:50
