If draw a trendline on a chart, and price breaks through the trendline, can SC automatically execute an order? I know that the trendline has an alert feature, but I can't seem to fine out how to attach an order to the trendline if a crossover condition was met.

There is not straightforward built-in support for this. However it is possible to create an ACSIL trading system study which can get a trend line on the chart and then send an order in response to some condition occurring with it.
