I'm trying to create a volume alert that sounds on the current bar if the volume is 2 times greater than the volume average over the last 15 bars. The average part is easy, but I'm having trouble creating the 2x the average part against the 15 period average. Is there an example or easy way to create this? |

You need to add a Moving Average study based on the Volume. This is the formula to use on that moving average study: = V > SG1*2 SG1 refers to the Moving Average of Volume Subgraph. It will be best if we put together a study collection example for this. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. We made a mistake in the prior post. The formula was wrong. It has been corrected. Use the attached Study Collection.
