Is there a way to play a sound without sending an alert?

I could only find the PlaySoundA function. BTW the name of that function has changed from the documentation.

What do you mean by "sending an alert"? PlaySoundA is an operating system function. It is not a Sierra Chart function. Sierra Chart does have sc.PlaySound. I see, Intellisense only showed PlaySoundA. In the system I have alerts set up to send an email when triggered. But in this instance, I only want to play one of the alert sounds, without it actually sending an alert. Both PlaySound and PlaySoundA seem to be functionally the same, they are both sending me an email alert when i call the function. |

You just need to disable the option to send an email for a particular Alert Number. Refer to: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/GeneralSettings.html#AlertSoundSettings So you should set one of the Alert Numbers to not send an email and the one where you want to send an email, set it to send an email.
