I am using the indicator color background based on alert and would like to change the opacity of the background color. I notice there is a transparency level fill box where I should be able to change the opacity but it does not change when I change this level. Is this something I can do with the color background indicator or not. Thanks in advance.

The Background Draw Style does not support transparency. Why do you require transparency for that since it is already drawn in the background?

I would like it to not appear so bright, using a different color doesn't really make a difference. I want it really to be in the background and not over powering the indicator area I am using the color background indicator on.

So you are saying it is not in the background? Try changing the Study Display Order: Chart Studies: Study Display Order A very very strong disadvantage of transparency is that it significantly increases CPU usage. You really do not want to use transparency anyway. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Yes it does appear in the background but I would like it to appear more transparent, I am assuming I can't do that with the color background indicator? It has a spot within the subgraph settings to change it but when the number is changed it does not change the transparency.

I am assuming I can't do that with the color background indicator? The Background Draw Style does not support transparency. We could add one, but it will not be very efficient. It would be great to have the option because it does distract from the price bars etc when background is full color. Of course whatever you decide.

Was this ever added? Using transparency on black background still does not work for me?
