Hi, With latest updates of SC I have noticed that Numbers bars data is not displaying properly either with using the P&F study or using P&F directly from the Chart Settings tab. The numbers keep disappearing and then printing (usually as the bar completes). for example, this is most apparent but sure not exclusive to box size 2 and reversal 2. Version 1583 appears to be the last version where these problems dont exist and for that reason Im still using 1583. Not sure whats up but would appreciate you having a look. Many thanks :-) |

This really does not make any sense. We do not see how this is even technically possible. However, you cannot use the Numbers Bars study with the Point and Figure study, it will not be completely accurate. You must use the Point and Figure Bar Bar Period Type only in Chart >> Chart Settings. When you notice this apparent issue, post an image of the chart. Provide an image of the chart or Trade DOM, by following these instructions: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/PostingInformation.php#Image Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. You say not accurate but remember P&F does always print ticks for the entire boxsize so even if price prints for example 3 ticks out 4 to make a box print then thats fine. Dont really see what isnt possible ? cheers |

Can you install another current version copy of Sierra Chart, and when you notice the problem post an image of the chart so at least we have some understanding of this. Here are instructions for installing another copy: Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time: Step-By-Step Instructions to Install Multiple Copies of Sierra Chart Do not use the File >> New Instance because that will be running the same version you are now. Hi Further to your post yesterday, please find the 1583 version screenshot of what the prints have always looked like and then the screenshot of what it looks like post 1583. In the post 1583 versions the print flash on, then off and either come back on or disappear completely? Thanks in advance Date Time Of Last Edit: 2017-07-26 18:37:03

When providing an image of a chart, only use this method: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#Image Anyway, we think we have enough information about this. This might be related to an optimization performed on the volume at price container. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. We are still not sure about the problem. We have made one change but we do not think it is going to help in your case. The whole thing is still very puzzling to us. Ok, thankyou. I will say that (even though rubbish pictures) the images represent the complete problem, something has changed since Ver 1583 as that does work brilliantly and has done up until that version. Again I really appreciate you looking into this prob. Cheers :-)) |

At this point, we need to get this chart configured as you have it. Provide a Chartbook that contains this single chart. Follow the instructions here: Support Board Posting Information: Providing Chartbook with Only a Single Chart Also, the reason we expressed unhappiness with the chart images, is that we are working on the problem with another one of our engineers, and they were so unacceptable, we did not even show them to them. This chart uses the Point and Figure Chart study, not the Point and Figure Bar Bar Period Type. Therefore, the problem should be resolved in the latest release which is 1591.
