When I use File > Save All, any changes to my charts are saved. If I click the "X" in the top right to quit out and select "Yes" when it asks if I want to save all, it doesn't save anything. Any reason this might be happening all of a sudden? Using 1580. |

How do you know the Chartbooks are not being saved? We just did a test now and we see no problem. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Well, because I made deliberate changes and used X to quit out and restarted the software and had to redo them because they weren't saved. After redoing them, I used File > Save All and then quit out and restarted to check and they were saved. This has happened more than once, that's why I opened this thread. There should not be a problem. Unless we know exactly what you changed, what you did, and then what you saw, and checked the last modified time of the file it really is hard for us to comment on this. We do not believe there is any genuine problem in regards to this. There must be some other explanation. After you expect the Chartbook to be saved, check the Chartbook file last modified date and time and see if it is current. What do you see? And also check the Message Log to see if there are any errors related to saving the Chartbook file. You will need to enable Global Settings >> General Settings >> Save Message Log to File to see the Message Log after exiting. It will be located in the Logs subfolder. Same thing is happening to me. It doesn't happen all the time but it happens. I am on pre-release 1584. I add drawings to some of my charts, then go to File / Save, then I close the chartbook and select YES to save changes. Then I close the program. After when I reopen the program and open the chartbook the drawing are not there. I also have Autosave chartbooks time in minutes selected and with a value of 30min Thank you |

We would more suspect, this to be a possible system issue, rather than an issue with Sierra Chart. Refer to the information we gave in our prior post. I believe I am having a similar issue. I keep on having to redraw my charts. I even constantly kept on saving after making changes. Now I do not see the same edits.

There are definitively no problems with saving charts in Sierra Chart. You need to look elsewhere. This is an old thread and we are locking it now.
