40winks you are entitled to your opinion but there are some here that don't agree. As a long time user of Sierra I think you should be reminded of the following counter points. 1. This was the first time in recent memory to me that the version notes (960) were ahead of the actual release posted. Give them credit for posting the work in advance. Maybe they were working to fix something in 959 before posting the update? Also, keep in mind that the newly released version is always considered pre-release and it will need some testing. Do not update to pre-release unless you really need to. 2. Unless they can recreate the problem reported this is a typical response from developers. In my experience if you give them precise instructions to recreate the problem it is quickly identified and fixed. Please identify another trading software vendor that even comes close to this level of service and response. 3. Requests are just that and they have to be logged and prioritized. FYI - if you want to move to the head of the line I suggest that you step up and offer to pay for some of these important requests. Also, keep in mind that the vendor reserves the right to decline for its own reasons. At least they respond to requests as compared to some others. 4. BETA / Pre-release updates always have bugs. Don't upgrade to BETA for your production trading platform. Wait until it has been out and someone else has found and fixed all of the bugs. 200 versions says it all. Wow, these guys are good and keep improving all the time. If you don't like it then don't upgrade all the time. Do so once every 3 months or twice a year. You don't have to keep up with the development team but lets not slow them down. 5. Sorry but you are wrong. BEST trading software development team and management in the business. Name another that comes even close? Developer with an attitude? Sure thing, but it is the sum of the effort and results that make it worthwhile to some of us. Please don't change a thing. Normally I don't respond to negative posts such as yours but you are out of line with all the negative comments. I want to make sure that Sierra hears from others that we don't agree with this position. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2013-04-04 14:46:14

40winks - Except on One single occassion where the "pre-release" gave one issue - every other time - I am very confident about picking any pre-release that SC team releases and glad their release cycle is quick and precise pretty much all the time. One of the happy customers with their in depth knowledge and accommodating nature if the feature request is reasonable !! |

How would you feel if you see a company posting latest version of their beta product but that version was nowhere to be found? Won't you at least feel odd? Furthermore, your negative post caused us to do nothing. None of your comments even make any sense and we would like you to leave and not come back. You are most definitely not welcome here as a customer. And you have nothing useful to offer us. You are speaking nothing but a bunch of nonsense.
