Account Balance not updating

My account balance in SC 1014 (DefaultWorkSheet cell J47 and Account Balance Window)is not updating. I have 2 IB accounts (TWS version 9393) and I made sure that the correct account is selected. The balance that shows is slightly different to my Cash Balance and stays on the same amount and does not change when the Cash Balance changes in IB.

If your Interactive Brokers account has 2 subaccounts, then probably the Account Balance would not continuously update. Although it will update on an order fill. There is not anything we can do about this. It has to do with limitations in the IB API.

We have changed how we get positions from IB in order to reliably get the position data when there are multiple accounts.

The only solution is to have Interactive Brokers give you another username that contains only one account. You can then run two copies of TWS. One for each account.
