Hi, i have transferred data (except .scid files) to a new installation on SC. If now i delete my first SC (the original source) and use only the second SC (the new installation), do i lose some old data ? or those .scid files that i have not copied are no longer important ? Thanks |

Review the information in help topic 15 to make sure you have copied over all of the relevant data files that you need: Http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails15.html What particular markets are you following when using Open ECry? This is necessary to let you know if you will lose data you cannot recover. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. I followed the instructions of the topic 15, but i have seen that the new installation of SC occupies less space on the disc (because i have not copied the .scid files) than the original source, and i would like to delete the original source and use only the new installation of SC, but i don't know if doing so, i could lose some data. For this reason, is it better to copy also the .scid files or it is not necessary ? I'm following YM, NQ, ES, 6E and GC. Thanks |

You can safely delete the old scid files. The data for those markets is all easily accessible from the server.
