Hi, I have just updated from V1527 to V1540, and I have the following Issue: When I save all it takes too much time, it seems like the software is not responding. After some time it returns to normal working but every time I save it the program stops responding for a while. I didn´t have that issue in versión 1527 or before. In the mean time I will return to V1527 in order to trade. Please let me know what is the problem. Thanks |

We do not know what the problem is. How large is the Chartbook file after saving? What exactly is being saved? How many Chartbooks and are there any spreadsheets being saved? No spreadsheets 2 Chartbooks chartbook 1 18,401KB (6 Charts) Chartbook 2 37,931KB (7 Charts) I returned to v 1527 with no problem. |

Why do not I have the same problem in V1527? In this versión 1527 it saves all fast. Something change from V1527 to the latest version |

The various fields of chart drawings are saved individually in new versions. We will do them as one block save. However, you will improve performance of Sierra Chart significantly by reducing the number of chart drawings you have. You can do that through Tools >> Manage Chart Drawings Window. yes i have many chart drawings, but the same charts and chart drawings and chartbooks as before, ok, had overlooked your answer #6 That means I can not display all the drawings in order to save faster ? |

Hi: I just want to let you know the following about the same issue: I am using V1527 without a problem, in order to save all, it takes around 5 seconds.(with all my drawings) I have just updated to V1543 to test it. It takes a lot of time to save all around 2 minutes and 10 seconds. During that time I can not do anything in Sierra because it does not respond. Then I decided to erase all my drawings and test it again, but it took the same time 2 minutes and 10 seconds. which is a lot. I can not trade with that problem, so I decided to go back to V1527 until the problem be resolved. Please let me know. Thanks |

We know this must be related to the saving of Chart Drawings. If it still takes a long time even after removing the drawings, therefore the drawings must still be within the charts. Actually 1544 did not get released until now. You can update at this time. Also, it is clear that all of the drawings must not have been removed if it took that long to save a Chartbook. The only way to definitively remove them is through Tools >> Managed Chart Drawings Window. You really should remove the ones you no longer use because they are creating a significant inefficiency. I will test it again. But my only concern is Why does not it happen in V 1527? With all the drawings it takes less than 5 seconds to save all. So, It should not happen that problem in newer versions even with the drawings. thanks |
