Hi,
I want to do back testing for HSF (Hong Kong index futures), and I will use 5 min data for last 20 years.
Before I subscribe for the real time data feed, I just want the historical data. How can I do that by the lowest cost? Thanks!

If you just need historical data, this is included with the Standard Sierra Chart service package.

The exchange was not listed but we have added it now.

The symbols are in File >> Find Symbol >> Futures-Indices.

thanks for support!

i saw this:
"If you are not using the Sierra Chart Real-Time and Historical Exchange Data Feed, the limitation for the number of Historical Daily data requests per day based on service package are as follows. Trial accounts: 200, Package 3 (Standard): 1000, Package 5 (Advanced): 2000"

so i want to know is there any request limitation for historical intraday data. And how many years of data (symbol: HS) can be obtained with this package. (one thing to mention is this future was expired every month.)

No limitations on historical Intraday data.

We will have to check but we think it goes back to about 2013.

The symbols are in File >> Find Symbol >> Futures-Indices.

The symbol begins with HS.

You will also want to use the Continuous Futures Contract feature:

hi,
hangseng index futures (sysmbol: HS) have historical data back to 2013.
However for mini hangseng index futures (symbol: HI) only have data back to 2016 Aug even I use continuous futures.
Is there any methods so that I can get the historical intraday data for HI back to 2013 (just same as HS)?

This is not data that we have or would be adding because there is quite a lot of work involved in this. It was a lot of work to add the Intraday history for the HSI.

The Hong Kong futures exchange does offer this historical data themselves but we are not sure it is in a format which can be directly read by Sierra Chart. Refer to:
https://www.hkex.com.hk/eng/ods/historicalData.aspx

If what we are currently offering is not going to work for you, just let us know if you would like a refund for the unused usage time.
