On the ESU intraday-charts the daily pivots are acting strange. Version 1010 and 1011. Seem to float or something.

Well it worked, funny, the pivot point study is fine till about 1 est then gets weird.

One other thing..the "new pivot point" goes up and or down with each change in price.

There must be some chart settings or study settings which are not set properly. We need to get a Chartbook for testing. Please provide it by following these steps:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=PostingInformation.php#AttachFile

It should only contain a single chart demonstrating the problem.

this also happens to me at random times.. the pivots will tick along with price and actually move. i plot daily, weekly, and monthly pivots on 1 chart and when this happens the daily ones will disappear then the rest will like float and tick with the price ticks

it is fixed when i switch to another symbol and come back though

Like I said no problems with 996,just when I upgraded to 1010 then 1011. I did not make any changes to the pivot point study or any other study that I'm using. Since it's ok till about 1 est I'm thinking it must be a data issue. Using DTN-IQ

its not a data thing.. we are using different data providers and get the same problem

all i was saying is you dont have to be stuck on 996, a fix to this is just switching to another symbol and switching back and its fixed

say you are on ESU3 and pivots start jumping, switch to NQU3 then back to ESU3 and its fixed

You should not have to change the symbol of a chart to resolve this. Something is not right and we need to get a Chartbook with your configuration to look into the problem and monitor for it.

This Chartbook is not useful because the studies are password protected.

In addition to getting a Chartbook we also need to know the Time Zone setting you are using in Sierra Chart.

you may want to post your chartbook for them to look at since it sounds like it happens to you much more often

Actually you don't have to go to a different symbol to correct the pivots. Just switch the time frame. Take a 5min ES, switch to a 10min and then back again. Still say this is a DTN issue.

DTN came out with a new version 5.1 today (not a beta) Will upgrade and see if corrects pivot point issues.

DTN version 5.1 made no difference.

Disregard the previous posting ( deleted) we just made in this thread. We had a misunderstanding about who the user was, the post was in response to.

In response to post 18, Dennis, provide an image of the chart when you have the problem and also a Chartbook. Otherwise, we cannot help with your specific issue. The one Chartbook we have been given is a very specialized set up and surely a different set up than what you are using.

we are experiencing the same problem though.. however i am only posting because i figured out what my problem is in case it helps with Dennis

you see how I have mine set up streaming from the daily charts for accurate pivots.. well sometimes I switch the daily chart to a study collection using volume at the bottom for a second then switch it back to regular.. I have always done this but its just recently started to make them float/tick with price. it will likely do this if you try it out on the chartbook i sent you
