Medium term can you please consider adding a find & replace menu tool for spreadsheet studies? I think this may be fairly involved so there is no hurry.

The main reason for requesting this is to deal with changing formulas in multiple sheets, specifically for the sheet numbering (Global settings >> Spreadsheet settings >> Update references) does not change the sheet numbers; quite often I will develop a strategy in one sheet which I then need to replicate to all the sheets in a chartbook. This means I have to manually change every formula in subsequent sheets which have a "Sheet1!" reference to the new sheet number, Sheet2, Sheet3, etc.. Not only is this cumbersome and time consuming worse still is that it's almost certain that you will make an error somewhere in the process and reference the wrong sheet. Having the ability to search the sheet formulas will quickly and easily remove this risk.

There is no way we can possibly get to this in the medium-term. It would be sometime next year.

No worries, I read the support board enough to know how busy SC always is, I am constantly amazed at how much you get through.

Coming at this from another angle; you can probably save me a lot of time if you rule out whether I can open the .scss file in an editor and search and replace there like I have done for XML? Is this possible or will this be a deadend? The file type opens in VS2015 and Notepad++ but it's garble to me. Any pointers will be appreciated. Regards.

The file format is a compressed proprietary format. It will not be possible to work with it like this.

We have put your suggestion down on the task list but it could be a long time before we get to it.
