Whenever I start Sierra it automatically changes all my charts settings - the Chart Data Type changes itself from "Intraday Chart" to "Historical Chart". To get the settings back I have to manually change "Chart Data Type", "Volume at Price mult." and then "Symbol" and "Trade and Current Quote Symbol". Since I work with 32 charts opened at a time it takes me about 1/2 an hour to get the setup back. I have two instances of Sierra, one connected to SC Data feed, another one to my broker Interactive Brokers. If I do not use SC Data and only use Interactive Brokers the problem disappears. Please advise how to solve this. |

This definitely should not happen and is not normal. Attach the Chartbook it is happening with and we will test it. Here are instructions: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#AttachFile What version of Sierra Chart is this happening with? This Chartbook uses remote chart data files. The problem must be related to that. When we opened it, all of the charts were clearly already Historical. We will need you to change them to Intraday charts and then provide us that Chartbook again. Although first we want you to update the 1445 version to the current version and see if you have a problem. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Both Sierra instances now running 1522 version. The enclosed file "Sierra Support Test Chartbook" is intraday before closing and restarting Sierra. The enclosed file "Sierra Support Test Chartbook II" is after the restart. |

We are not understanding the reason for the symbol configuration that you are using and why you are using remote chart data files. Since you are connected to Interactive Brokers follow the instructions here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#IntegrationWithTradingServices You should not be using remote chart data files. This is going to make it more difficult for us to help you. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. The reason is that I am getting different horizontal volume data for remote and mapped data files - if compared it looks that for M it is corrupted. http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1487937528847.png |

Using remote chart data files is not the proper method to receive data from the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed. There is no reason to use this method. It is no longer considered supported. What we want you to do for the chart on the right side, is to select that chart and then re-download the data by selecting Edit >>Delete All Data and Download. This will ensure the data is correct. If you want to share data between instances of Sierra Chart, then refer to: Using DTC Server for Data and Trading in Another Sierra Chart Instance: Using DTC Server for Data and Trading in Another Sierra Chart Instance Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
