Hi, I would like to use SC as a DTC client to monitor orders/fills received from a DTC server where the orders are not generated from the current SC instance. The DTC server that the SC DTC client connects to is similar to a FIX dropcopy feed where messages such as NewOrderSingle and ExecutionReports etc. are mapped to corresponding DTC Protocol messages and sent to the SC client using the DTC protocol. The orders are generated externally to SC. The server also sends DTC formatted market data messages that are capable of being charted in SC. My questions are : 1) How does SC react when it received an acknowlegment and subsequent fill for an order that it does not recognize (ie not generated from the current SC instance) ? 2) Is it possible to display such orders on SC chart without a trading system running in SC ? Thanks. |

1. All of the order updates will be processed and logged and passed through to the DTC client. 2. Yes of course. All of this is fully documented on this page: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/ChartTrading.html You can display both the working orders and order fills.
