Can someone tell me why my "stop limit" orders are not being placed at the limit price, but are being placed a tick or two away? i'm trying to use a stop limit order to reduce the slippage i'm seeing in a particular market. if i miss the trade, that's ok, but i'm seeing several ticks of slippage at times. so i'm placing a sell stop limit order below the market and still seeing fills below that price. The purpose of the stop limit is supposed to be that once the stop price is hit, a limit order is placed at that mark. that's not happening. I just placed another order that was filled three ticks below the sell stop limit entry price. |
