I switched from TransAct to Sierra data feed for Eurex and CME exchanges this month, finding a big improvement in accuracy and lower latency. In the Integration with Trading Services section of the Sierra Manual item 11) states: If you pay separately to your Trading service for market data, you can unsubscribe from that market data you are now receiving through the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed. I therefore terminated the subscription (i.e. Exchange Fees) with TransAct, only to find that I can not clear trades through them unless I pay them the exchange fees. This means paying the exchange twice for the same data on the same CPU. Not a serious issue for Eurex and CME but with ICE charging $110/month makes me hesitate about paying them twice. I understand that CME charges are much higher without a funded broker account, but have not read anywhere in the Sierra Manual that a dual payment of the exchange fees is necessary in order to receive data and trade. Please confirm that this dual payment is necessary. |

It is necessary for this reason.

For information, TransAct have subsequently advised that as long as I do not access their TransActAT platform they will not charge me the monthly Exchange Fees.
