Looking for a way to calculate the net change from the opening price of the 1st bar in the chart (I have 365 days displayed) until the last trade (current price). Ultimately, I am looking to compare this result to same result of another chart. Any suggestions? |

The closest is the Percent Change Since Open study: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TechnicalStudiesReference.html#s325 We could create another study to calculate the actual change. I would be interested in a "change from X bars ago" study or something similar.

This can be done by using the Bar Difference study: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TechnicalStudiesReference.html#s56 Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Can I use a higher value than 100 for the Input Data 2 offset field?

Yes we will remove that restriction in the next release.
