Dear Support Mate, Every once in a while some of my charts are inaccurate off by a few fractions. They also sometimes freeze and stop updating. Your help would be appreciated. |

I use Open ECry and want to monitor and trade over a dozen symbols (metals, energy, indices). 1. Is there any way at all that I can do that? In other words, are there any other data feed options that would allow me to continue trading through OEC, without giving up on the SC platform? 2. Why is there even a 5 symbol limitation? OEC says the throttling was an SC decision, they provide free live data on all symbols. Something doesn't add up. |

1. Are you referring to the limit of 5 symbols to receive tick by tick data on from OEC? There are other data feed options. This is one of them: Notice: New Futures Real-Time Data Feed 2. This limitation is from OEC. The throttling is not up to us. Not at all. They do have another data feed which provides much fewer updates, but it is not acceptable for charting. So, for example, I could pay Barchart (or some other vendor, including you guys starting November) and that would drive the charting etc. on your platform and also keep my trading account at the FCM where I have it (OEC). I'd continue to use your platform to monitor price action and send trades. That would be a way of getting around the OEC 5 symbol symbol limit. Yes? Any potential issues I should be aware of as related to actual live trading? For example, the symbol convention that barchart uses could be slightly different from the OEC convention (I notice OEC has some prefixes attached to its symbols). Or, is that all taken care of at your end via the OEC API or something? |

Yes this is a correct understanding. Sierra Chart has the ability to handle symbol differences between the different services being used. This is no problem.
