Have Sierra Chart connected to CQG data via my broker. My broker tested to see if my data is coming through. All the message logs show NO errors. They can not figure out why I am not showing BID/ASK volume on my DOM or charts. We have disable all firewall settings, but that did not help. Please let me know if there is a setting that my broker is missing that will enable bid/ask volume to show. Thx |

Go to a futures chart for a symbol that you want to see the market depth for and then select File >> Open Market Depth Window. Do you see more than one level of market depth there? thanks for the help. on my chart trading dom, when i add the bid/ask to be shown. it creates another vertical column for the bid/ask volume. i have seen it before integrated within the buy/sell column and price vertical column. how do i accomplish this? thanks again |

You instead need to add these columns: Bid Size/Buy Column Ask Size/Buy Column Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. great thank you! that did it. one last question, why is it that when you attach a chart DOM, that you lose the ability to truncate the chart up/down to view cut-off data hidden below or above the chart? is it another box that i have forgotten to check off? appreciate your help to a new sierra chart user! |

You can still move the chart up-and-down. Just make sure you are left clicking and dragging the price scale in chart region 1. Follow through the instructions here for that: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/Scaling.html#InteractiveScalingMoveUpDown Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. i have changed the settings in chart settings in DOM to 0.5 tick size which my chart is using and now i got rid of that problem but i added depth pulling and recent bid volume columns but they are not showing any values , do i need to refresh something like that to populate them?

From the image you have provided you are only getting 1 depth level. As such, you will not have any Pulling/Stacking, although you should have the Recent Bid/Ask volumes based on that 1 level of depth. You would need to ask Global Data Feeds about the Market Depth data and whether they provide any further depth values for the particular symbol you are looking at. It looks like you have the "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Market Depth >> Combine Increment in Ticks" for that chart set to about 20. Take a look and see what it is set to: Chart Settings: Market Depth Combine Increment in Ticks (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Market Depth menu) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
