HI SC, I downloaded historical intraday Tick data from your servers for the following symbols: $SPX $VIX $VXO The data seemed to only be in 1 minute resolution. Do your servers offer historical intraday Tick data for these symbols? |

Yes one tick data is available but for this you must use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed. I read over that link. I currently have Service Package 5 (which is the only thing I'm currently paying for). Is the link saying that in addition to paying for Service Package 5 I need to pay $35 a month (for the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed) plus 3.25 USD/month (for CBOE Indices) in order to download historical tick data (not realtime tick data) data for the symbols mentioned in post 1 ? |

This is not correct. The section we linked to indicates the cost of the data feed is 15 a month for cash indices . And if you do not need the real-time data you do not need to pay for the exchange fee.

I guess I'm misunderstanding something about the link. I'm happy to pay the $15 a month. How/where do I select this option and pay for it? I looked in "account-managment>activate-and-Pay-for-a-Sierra-Chart-Service" but did not see what I am looking for. |

I just paid the $15 and activated the service in my account. I then deleted my $VIX data and re-downloaded new $VIX data. The $VIX Ticks are showing up precisely once every 15 seconds as shown in the attached screenshot, therefore this does not seem like tick data. Do you have a way of checking my account on your end to make sure I activated the correct Data Feed service? |

Yes this is what we see as well. So apparently this is how often the exchange is transmitting that data. So it is tick by tick data. You do have the correct service activated. If you have further questions about this, contact the exchange. They will know best. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
