Hi SC, Per attached, it was found that the POC of the bar at 16:24 in VbP chart is different from the POC shown in numbers bars chart. Both charts are time based chart and uses the same time period. POC in VbP chart was 22807 and POC in Numbers Bars chart was 22803. In the Numbers Bars chart, note that there are 2 price levels with same volume traded. How do SC determine the POC in Numbers Bars chart if there are 2 price levels with the same volume in the same bar? Can you make the POC level be consistent in both VbP & Numbers Bars charts? You need to post an image of the charts by following this method and no other method: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#Image Are these different copies of Sierra Chart? If these are using different data feeds, then there is not going to be a match especially when using Interactive Brokers data. You can forget trying to get a match. We are not going to help with that at all. Otherwise, refer to items #9 and #10 here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TPOVolProfileCharts.html#IncorrectValues Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Pls refer to the attached charts with chart headers revised as requested. I also attached the config files for you reference. FYI, these charts are from the same copy of SC. The data feed is from SC and I don't subscribe data feed from IB. Per your online doc on Volume Profile, if there is more than one price level with the same volume, then the price level that is closest to the middle of the profile is used as Point of Control. (https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TPOVolProfileCharts.html#Calculations). However, I can find how numbers bars will handle the same situation in your online doc. Kindly update the poc shown in numbers bars to make it consistent with the one on Volume Profile. You may wish to update this on numbers bars as well. |

We do not need to see all these screenshots. If we need to get your Chartbook we will ask for it. Do not post any further attachments. The documentation we referred you to, specifically mentions this particular setting: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/VolumeByPrice.php#Input_TicksperVolumeBar What is it set to? Actually we see what you are saying now. There are three price levels with the same volume on that Numbers Bar that you are highlighting here: https://www.sierrachart.com/Download.php?Folder=SupportBoard&download=9834 We will need to look into this. We do not need any further information. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Try to keep your questions brief and to the point.
