Hi, Support Team from Sierra Charts,
I am a new user from P.R.China and is surprised by the all-mighty function of Sierra Charts. But I am somewhat disappointed that Sierra Charts only present clearly the BTC trade historical data from mtGox. How could I use Sierra Charts to view the historical data from https://btcchina.com? Because the BTCCNY trends from mtgox.com and btcchina.com is somewhat different.
Or alternatively, could I merge and import historical trade data of btcchina.com in csv file into Sierra charts, so that I could analyze the trends of btcchina.com and decide my operation.
Thank you very much if you could give me a reply, including clue or link to the comprehensive guide or help resources.

Could someone provide us an English translation of the API for accessing price data from BTC China?

Support for BTC China can be found in the latest version of Sierra Chart. You will find it in the list of Services under Global Settings >>Data/Trade Service Settings.

Thank you very much for your work!
I have verified the program's btcnCNY data servcie. It works well, though there are only effective hour charts for the beginning time to receive the trade history data. But when I tried to install the Non-.NET/CLR Version of Sierra Chart on my Linux, I found that there still are not btcnCNY data service in the Global data settings.
Could you catch up the non .net/clr version with the normal version in this feature?
Thank you again.

All recent versions of Sierra Chart do support BTC China. What version of the non-CLR version are you running?

We are maintaining historical data for this data feed and we will be deploying it soon. We are just doing some work on our server infrastructure.

Hi, thanks for quick reply. I now use the 1018 version of non-.Net/CLR on CentOS 6.4 64bit. But I came across error, such as:
HTTP request #1223 returned the following error: Unknown Windows error code 12157. | 2013-08-30 14:06:51
BTCChina transactions request failed due to a HTTP error. | 2013-08-30 14:06:51
The same errors queued up, and I can not see the program display historical charts of btcnCNY.

This is a very unusual error. We are not familiar with this error code. Are you running any firewall software?

We do not have this problem running on Windows. Here is the current chart that we have:

Yes, I also have not the problem under Windows 7 64 bit. I have run two Sierra Charts under my CentOS 6.4 64bit. One is for Mtgox data, and it is OK (1001 version). The other is 1018 version for btcnCNY, but it can not get data. So I guess it may not be the problem of FireWall.

In about two weeks, we will be providing the BTC China data through our own servers which will solve this problem.

Rather than users connecting direct to BTC China.

Dear Support team of Sierra Charts,
Another problem found by me for the current 1025 version SC software is that it seem to be unable to switch to daily candle stcik view of btcchina charts. The SC program seem to only be able to show hourly charts of BTCChina data. When I try to switch to daily charts view, it presents a black window without any bars.
Thanks for your support.

This will be solved when the historical data originates from our own systems. We will try to get this out, this week. However, there is not going to be much historical Daily data. Only about three weeks as of this time.

Update Sierra Chart to the latest release by selecting Help >> Download Prerelease. You will see a new service listed named Bitcoin Data (BTC China). Please allow about 10 minutes before downloading. This accesses data direct for our server.
