Does this allow each dtc instance to use a separate cpu core? Are there any plans to make sc single instance use multiple cores?

Yes that is correct.

Sierra Chart does use multiple CPU cores but not for study calculations and chart updating. This will never change. So do not expect any change.

Does 2nd dtc instance use a different core for studies and updates from the one used by the main instance?

How much delay does dtc introduce?

It potentially can use a different CPU core, but that of course is managed by the operating system and another CPU core would be used if needed.

There is virtually no delay with using DTC. It is going to be in the microsecond range.
