I like the way NT can graphically present your daily p/l with bars. Is there a way to do this in SC other than just display p/l numbers? Here is a screenshot of what I mean. |

Yes this is supported: Trading Information Windows: Trade Data Studies Although it will just be a single line, not bars. To create bars use the Study Overlay-OHLC study: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TechnicalStudiesReference.html#s149 Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Ok sounds like there is no easy way to do this. As an aside is there a way to display every day's p/l over a period of time? |

You can do it on a daily chart, with the Position Profit/Loss set to Currency, using the Trading:Daily Profit/Loss study, with the Draw Style set to Bar, and the Auto-Coloring set to Based on +/-

Ok thanks Tom. Is there no prettier way of doing this through the reports, rather than having to muck around on a chart with this stuff? And would it show p/l from all instruments rather than just the one I'm drawing the graph on? I find it amazing that with all this great reporting in SC, displaying the daily P/L is not one of them... |

It would only show individual symbol's P/L. You could combine multiple instruments on a spreadsheet study, and display it on a chart, but you'd need a chart for each instrument. This is the only way to plot P/L as bars, without developing a custom study in c++/ACSIL. |

You will need to use the Trading: Daily Profit/Loss study: Trading Information Windows: Trade Data Studies However, it is only for a single symbol and trade account.
