"Placed a limit order on the SIM @ 3.00 and it filled at 3.11." I should have said... Placed a buy limit order on the SIM @ 3.00 and it filled at 3.11. From "How Orders are Filled"...... "A Buy Limit order will only be filled when the Ask price is equal to or less than the limit price. And it will be filled at the Ask price when this condition is met. A Sell Limit order will only be filled when the Bid price is equal to or greater than the limit price. And it will be filled at the Bid price when this condition is met." Thanks |

Provide us the line in the Trade Activity Log where the Activity Type says "Fill" for this particular order. If you are entering orders using the Chart DOM or order entry ladder, refer to how that works here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ChartTrading.html#ChartDOM Specifically refer to step 6. In the prior post we meant to say step 6. It has been corrected.

I am trying to make a limit order (price or better) when the price hits the high of the day. I can put in a stop order but that turns into a market order and the fill seems to be bad. Any suggestions? |

Try using a Stop-Limit order: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/OrderTypes.html#StopLimit Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I have been having a hard time understanding this, now I think I know. Can u confirm ? I put in an order UVXY @ 9:02:18 for 16.47. The DOM shows it @ 16.57 (way outside the bid/ask). Is this including commissions?

We apologize for the delay. We needed to do some documentation updates related to this. We see you are using Interactive Brokers. That is the Position Average Price provided by TWS.
