This page refers: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ChangingPeriodOfBars.php#Period_Keyboard Now see my marked up screen grab attached: I am using Flex Renko charts and are just changing the bar period. Re the *, the characters for the new bar period do NOT appear in the title bar as you type them (only after you hit enter). Re the +, at least with FlexRenko you MUST enter the 'fr' at the end of typing the new bar period before hitting enter, even given the bar type is ALREADY Flex Renko. If I don't type the 'fr' and say enter 6,3,3 it tries to change the chart symbol to the 6E contract symbol for 2015. Just entering the par period and then enter does work for changing the bar period on a Time base chart ie I can enter 20 and then hit enter to change from a 10 min chart to a 20 minute one. I am not sure if there are other bar types, like the Flex Renko, that will also require the abbreviation at the end to change bar periods even when the chart is already displaying that bar type as I have only tested Flex Renko. |

This sentence in the documentation has been updated: As you type, the characters will appear in the title area of the window, assuming the title bar is wide enough to see the standard text and the additional characters being typed. The window captures the keys as you press them.
We also updated the information for Flex Renko. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
