Add percentage of daily ATR to intraday opening range lines?

Hello,
I am attempting to create an ACD indicator, and to create the “A” up and “A” down (which are horiz. lines above and below the opening range), it seems the High/Low for a Time Period – Extended study is ideal to begin the process. On an intraday chart, I am able to add a horiz. line above the high using Study Subgraph Add and set “Add to zero values in Based on Study” to “no”, but cannot do the same to create the lower line using Study Subgraph Subtract as there is no option (for add to zero values). The “add” issue was mentioned and fixed here: Trouble using Study Subgraph Add for extending High/Low For Time Period

1) So I was wondering if the same option could be added to Study Subgraph Subtract so the lower horiz. line doesn’t go to zero between sessions.
2)On an intraday chart, is it possible to add/subtract a percentage of the daily ATR to the top/bottom of the opening range using Study Subgraph Add/Subtract?

The pink lines are the H/L of the first 5 minutes and the yellow/red lines are a fixed # of pts. above/below. So I would like to make the level of the yellow/red lines a % of daily ATR added/subtracted to the pink lines.

Disregard point 1) above. I was able to use a negative number for a second instance of Study Subgraph Add - Extended and add that to the low of the opening range.

I ported daily ATR to an intraday ES chart, and then used Study Multiply to obtain a fraction of the ATR. Then used Study Subgraphs Add and SS Difference to add and subtract from the opening range lines. BUT, the lines go to zero after midnight. Can you all add an option for "add to zero values" for the Subgraphs Add and Difference? I have looked at the Initial Balance study but it only draws a line 1 bar wide.

We need some time to look this over.

Can you all add an option for "add to zero values" for the Subgraphs Add and Difference?
It is not clear what you are looking for. Did you want Study Subgraphs Add and Difference studies to not perform the arithmetic at a chart column where one of the Subgraph values is 0?

I would like Study Subgraphs Add and Difference studies to not perform arithmetic (and thus not draw a line on the chart) if one of the Input Studies is 0. In this case, one of the inputs for both studies is High/Low for a Time Period - Extended, which has a 0 value after the end of the session.

The input for these will be added in the next release.

Hi I'm trying to do the same thing and create the "A" value as a horizontal line on my chart. I can use "Study Subgraph Add" to add a horizontal line based on the ATR or ADR but I have to manually put in the "Amount to Add" value. I don't trade the same symbol every day so I need to figure out a way to calculate "A" automatically. I tried using study overlay to put the Average Daily Range from a daily chart on my intraday chart but Study Subgraph Multiply is not seeing it when I set "Standard Precedence - Based On:" to the overlay study. How would you 'port' the ADR or ATR to an intraday chart? Is there another way to do this? All I need is to plot a horizontal line based on the High/Low for Time Period - Extended indicator and add/subtract 20% of the Average Daily Range. Thanks!

Stephan908:
Can you see the daily ADR (as a subgraph, e.g.) in the intraday chart? If not, you don't have the study overlay correct.

Thanks. You're right, it didn't show it on the intraday chart. I was hiding it before. I changed fill blanks with last value to yes. I was able to get the A up and down horizontal lines to show on my charts automatically. Thank you very much for your help.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. Unhide it to make sure the overlay study is setup correctly and the daily ADR is on the intraday chart...it will work fine when hidden. Then on the intraday chart, Study Subgraph Multiply: "based on" is daily ADR, and your multiplier would be .2. Then you can go from there with "study subgraph add" etc.
