Hi,

Is it possible to have a stop order than closes the existing position(s) and opens an immediate reverse market order ?

For example if you are long 2 lots, and the stop is hit, it will automatically sell two lots on hitting the stop

No, this is not directly supported.

You may be able to do something like this by using the Spreadsheet System for Trading study:

Is there any update about this topic without having to manually code this feature? Furthermore, I don't need a trading system that make automitc trades... I only need a bracket order that I manually position where the stop order open the same bracket order with an opposite one until I push cancell all button...nothing more... Please provide me some detailed instructions because I can't figure it out. Thanks in advance.

You just need to use a separate Stop parent order with its own Attached Orders. You can place this at the same price as the existing stop.

Ok, so you are suggesting to manually place another order where there is the stop? Because this is not possible because if someone uses tight stops and the market moves quickly you are not fast enough to place this second order... I should a have the stop that automatically trigger another opposite bracket order ..

As initially stated, what you are wanting to do is not directly supported with the Order Types that we have.

You can try and see if you can work it out using the Spreadsheet Study, but this is something you need to work out. We do not have a pre-built option for this.

Another option would be to create a custom study. Refer to the following for this:

So, do you suggest to me to implement it with the spreadsheet, or with a custom study?

It is your choice on what to use. It depends on how you feel about using either tool. It is not something we can answer for you.

Ok, but both of the options seems to me that are tools to make automatic trades basing on some sort of information on the chart. Like the example Example ACSIL Trading Systems shows how to set up a tradying system based on the crossover of some studies subgraph. My scope is totally different... Because I need a tradying system that act only when I decided to manually enter a trade, so my enter is not automatic, the reversal if the stop is reached should be automatic... So, do you confirm to me that this behaviour is achivable by looking at the documentation here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/ACSILTrading.html#ExampleCode. Excuse me if I bothered you, but I need some confirmations before studyng something new... Really thank you.

From what you are stating, ACSIL would be the best tool for you. You can have it do what you want.

Yes but you do this ahead of time, before the stop order is triggered:
Ok, so you are suggesting to manually place another order where there is the stop?

It is possible to put 2 stop orders at the same price level.
