We have now switched over to the new Barchart Open Feed for the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed ICE data feed. This will solve the problem of the delays and interruptions that have happened previously. We are also maintaining data for spreads from the ICE exchanges and we will see about adding in additional history as soon as we can. Let us know if it is working. We had to switch back to the old feed but the historical data is maintained using the new Open Feed. We are not likely to get this resolved until the morning. The basic problem has to do with the internal identification of the symbols which is used for real-time data subscriptions from users. Otherwise, the new ICE OpenFeed is running fine. Market depth is indeed now working. You mentioned historical data being maintained with the new feed, how does that affect the old feed we had to switch back to? Will I have to nuke a bunch of intraday data tomorrow to recover any gaps in coverage?

For the time being it is not practical for these exchanges to be added because there is insufficient demand. Although for one of our clients, we will be providing Hong Kong futures in a couple of months but that is exclusive to them only. We finally have now got the missing hour of data at the April 24 Sunday open patched for the ICE contracts. There was some underlying programming we had to do to support this. Anytime there is an event like this again we can complete the operation within an hour. Over the last six months, there has been a tremendous amount of development related to our real-time and historical data infrastructure. This is very essential in order to provide the market data that Sierra Chart users require. Although the vast majority of our users receive the real-time futures data directly from the external trading services due to these illogical exchange rules. What's up with the crack spread daily/weekly charts? Try _S_SP_LFQ16_CBQ16.FUT_SPREAD.IFEU on a daily, it's not usable at all. It isn't a data or volume issue either as the same spread charts fine in eSignal. |

We are checking on this. Also, Barchart said they are working the problem with the end of day values for the spreads. So we will wait for that and see what else we need to do on our side and clear out the existing data when the problem is resolved. It happens whenever I dupe a chart and change the symbol. For instance, start with _S_SP_LFQ16_CBQ16.FUT_SPREAD.IFEU and then in chart settings change it to _S_SP_LFZ16_CBZ16.FUT_SPREAD.IFEU. |
