Hi. It looks like a have really gone and done it! I find that I can't keep S.C.running after I had a computer "accident"? while trying to save a .dly file that I was manually updating and appending (that is, taking CLH16.dly and copying and pasting(merging)historical data using "Edit Data-Historical Chart" to CLJ16.dly within Windows), something went wrong and the chart that held the new CLJ16.dly came up blank and S.C.froze. Since then anything with the chart CLJ16 simply freezes S.C. and I can't continue with the current instance of S.C. and I have to shut down and re-start to get into S.C. again. Now, I may have deleted the file ClJ16.dly outside of S.C. just using Window's file ; I didn't use the "delete" function on the "Open Chartbook" page as I should have on that particular occasion. Can you help me with this or shed some light on this? Sincerely - Rick

It sounds as though if you delete the CLH16.dly in the Sierra Chart folder, you should not have a problem any longer. After that you can try the edit operation again that you have been doing. I went in and re-installed CLJ16 and CLK16 by downloading the files from "Find Symbol", checked to see if they were indeed "registered" in "data" in the S.C. directory which indeed they were and voila! the icon on my startup page when double clicked won't even Start S.C.! I never really got to change the march dailies over to april or may so if simply delete the march one CLH16 it might even be worse.

I must have corrupted the filing system although it looks intact.

I have now deleted the file CLH16 like you suggested earlier - It seems to have worked! Probably a Windows error and must have corrupted that file. Thanks for the help! Rick
