Hi, As per SC previous advise, can you please provide an update on when the following feature may be included; Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trade and Current Quote Symbol" (to function as a Trade Only symbol) In order to achieve a quote on one symbol and trade on a different symbol, presumably you would need to specify the different symbols in the GlobalSymbolSettings.XML file by setting the following two fields with different symbols? <symbol>AAD-CFD-SMART-AUD</symbol> <trade-and-current-quote-symbol>AAD-CFD-SMART-AUD</trade-and-current-quote-symbol> Regards |

Letting you know, this turned out to be 10 times more complicated than expected and it is uncertain if it will come. We have no further comment on this. The reason you have a need for this is due to the substandard functionality of the Interactive Brokers API which IB must solve. If we do end up deciding to release it and it is uncertain, it is going to be unsupported and may not work completely right. Hi, Thanks for letting me know and I appreciate your time and effort; certainly if you lack the confidence in the feature and won't be supporting it I wouldn't really want to be using it especially on the execution front where this would have to be. On that basis if it was just a feature added to deal with the crappy IB API issues alone (?) I also feel it's no longer required. Like most things on SC I think there is a viable work-around which I am pursuing; not as clean as I would have hoped but it will do. I.E. Using DOM to trigger alerts to inform trading rather than triggering trades... so be it atm. Again thanks for your efforts on this issue. Regards |
