I am aware of Study Overlay- OHLC. It works OK (not great) sometimes but only for shorter time frames upon a longer time frame. It seems to fail to actually record the high until the shorter term bar has ended, such as 1 minute overlay on 5 minute chart.

I have studies that sum charts & subcharts, often from Spreadsheets or custom study, usually as bars or rectangles above/ below zero. The problem is no real options like regular charts: Candlesticks, HLC Bars.

Longer-time-setting studies can help shorter-term trading, but waiting until longer bar end is not so useful.

The goal is to see extremes of subgraph for reversals, speed of reversals. When a study is on 5 min or longer bars, there can be a lot of action before bar ends. There must be a way to see the action, extremes & reversals without having to stare at it.

We all know price-range bars are useful on charts. We need some kind of residue of range action on a study without having to add confusing, performance-sucking cross-chart overlays, if possible. I've tried things like adding hi-low for N-bars, with no success.

ANY kind of "residue" of the subgraph action would work, such as faint transparent rectangle, outline of rectangle behind bars or "rectangle fill to zero". An option to choose candlesticks or regular HLC bars would be great.

Even a line or hash at extremes of bars would be adequate (in color of bar at that time, preferably). By bars I mean study bars as they are, not chart price-range bars.

Example would be green and red Fill Rectangle to Zero. It moves tick by tick or second, but may go way up then near zero or even reverse at end of a 10-min. bar.
