Hola, In the book Markttechnik (excellent book, unfortunately only available in German language as far as I know), Michael Voigt describes a technique using Inside Bars ("Innerstaben", see attached picture) that is somewhat different from the one that is implemented as an "Inside Bars" chart study in Sierra Chart: IF previous bar was an InsideBar THEN IF Close > LowOfOutsideBar AND Close < HighOfOutsideBar THEN this bar is an InsideBar as well ENDIF ELSIF Close > LowOfPreviousBar AND Close > HighOfPreviousBar THEN previous bar is the OutsideBar this bar is an InsideBar ELSE this bar is a normal bar (neither an InsideBar nor an OutsideBar) ENDIF Is there already such an indicator available? As per my request, it could look like this: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1373306337256.png And I would suggest a parameter where one can specify how many bars must be inside before calling a block of inside bars (default = 1), in order to prevent unnecessary clutter. I myslef would probably put it at 2 or so. Have you been able to decide yet if you can do this quickly? |
