How is the Daily Change (DlyChange and DlyChange%) calculated in the Quote Board? "DlyChange%" gives different values than the study "PercentChangeSincePreviousClose". I assume the calcualtion in the Quote Board uses the SettlementPrice instead of the Last Price/Close as in the study "PercentChange ..." Would you please add (or change) the Daily Change based on the Last Price/Close in the Quote Board. Thanks you! |

You are right, the Daily Change you see on the Quote Board and at the top line of the chart does use the previous settlement price. This will never change and we cannot add anything new in this area. Thank you for the immediate answer. I do understand that you will not change the calculation. But I do not understand, why you can not or will not add an additional calcualtion based on the Last Price/Close in the Available Fields in the Quote Board. I would think this is possible and should not be a huge effort. Please reconsider this request. For trading, the Last Price is much more looked at than the Settlement Price. I can not understand why you are just ignoring questions/suggestions as in post #3. If you can not or will not add these two useful items into the available Fields in the Quote Board (which btw would then be consistent with the study "PercentChangeSincePreviousClose"), you should at least give a short, reasonable answer. I and others sure can live with that. Just ignoring things or refering to the support policy displeases customers.

Quote Boards do not use chart data. They use the Current Quote data values provided by the data feed. The Daily Price Change is calculated using the previous close/settlement price in this Current Quote data. The value is provided by the data feed. Some data feeds might have a different value for previous close and settlement, but not necessarily. Also, there are going to be plenty of times we will rely on support policy and will not respond. We have to maintain productivity. And if customers are unhappy, then so be it because it is detrimental for everyone, when our time is used unproductively. We must focus on priorities.
