Hi, I just obtained a new Rithmic account and when trying to login, Sierra Chart went into "frozen" state with the cursor keeps circulating. I tried this on version 1227 and version 1336 and both having this problem. The account I am using is working as I am able to use it to login to R|Trader. Kindly assist. Regards, Clement Quek |

We have heard this once before but the one user had this problem no longer is having it. What seems to be happening is that when the bridge program, which has the software from Rithmic, connects to the Rithmic system, it is freezing and the operating system function that starts that, is not returning. All of this is highly unusual and we do not know what is causing it. We do not have a solution to this and we really advise using something other than Rithmic. Rithmic uses what is known as an API component and as a matter of policy we do not support these components any longer: Http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails76.html We strongly recommend that you use CQG instead: CQG Trading Platform Service Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. If you could try another computer, that is another possible workaround. But as we said, we do not know why this is happening. We can see no logical reason for it, and your case is the only outstanding report of this. Apparently it is the CreateProcess function at the operating system level which is freezing. That is very very unusual for something like that to happen. Another thing you can try is to restart your computer. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
