I see that the version of SC that I am using is not the latest version when trying to download a new one. 3 simple Qs only - 1. Does one need to keep an updated download of the latest version? 2. If so, how do I migrate all my chart books to the new version once the new version (and its shortcut is downloaded) or will I see all my chartbooks open as configured in the global settings/general settings/files to open on startup ? 3. I have this distinct window and its text color problem with i. the whole SC application window and its title text color turn black once I click any object inside the application thus making the txt invisible to me ii. also when I click on studies windows to open that window - again the window and its title color of that studies window - both turn black thus making it invisble I have tried graphics settings both under global settings / chart menus and just cannot come to find anything that controls WINDOW COLOR AND ITS TITLE TEXT COLOR WHEN ACTIVATED. |

1. It is a good idea to update when prompted. And also periodically. 2. There is nothing special to do. All of the Chartbooks will work with the new version. 3. What you are describing is an operating system level issue/behavior. You need to change the operating system color settings to use the Title bar colors that you require and no transparency for Title bars. Really Microsoft's decision to use transparency and using colors which makes the Title bar text hard to read was was a very dumb decision. Why even change the color scheme which was used in Windows XP. It makes no sense. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. SUPER - YOU GUYS ARE JUST AWESOME. I STARTED OFF BEING SO CRITICAL OF SC AND NOW I REALLY LIKE IT. IN MY HUMBLEST (UNSOLICITED) OPINION, I THINK THE ONE OF THE IMPORTANT THING SC PERHAPS IS NOW MISSING IS SCANNING CAPABILITY (PUSH TECHNOLOGY - SELF UPDATING) TO SCAN SYMBOLS FOR TECHNICAL EVENTS REAL TIME. OTHER THAN THAT, I WISH I COULD CONTRIBUTE TO THE FUTURE DEVELOPMENT OF SC AS ONE OF THE USERS BY ADDING MY COMMENTS TO SOME FORUM. LET ME KNOW. AND THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN. |
