I use IB and was forced to upgrade because of your notice that the version I was using (1297) will no longer be supported. I have stayed with version 1297 because the new features added since 1297 were not of use to me. Now that I was forced to upgrade, I have a major issue which disrupted my trading. What happened to the volume on version 1332? See attached images. Volume is essential to my trading system and not seeing volume disrupted my trading big time. I missed some trades because I had to stop trading trying to determine what setting would fix the problem. Eventually, I gave up and went back to version 1297 but my trading focus was gone. How do I fix volume? Also, Ctrl-I used to default opening a new intraday chart. In version 1332, the cursor defaults to "Search" and I need to click on "Filename" twice before I can enter the symbol and open a new intraday chart. I trade stocks and open a lot of different stocks everyday and this has added more clicks before I can open a new intraday file. Ctrl-I is for opening a new intraday chart, not for searching files, so I think it is more appropriate to bring the cursor back to defaulting to "Filename," not "Search." After all, that is how Sierrachart has been since it started. |

This has been an issue before in my post in 2014 - Volume in historical intraday data download is distorted compared to real-time volume data from This is because of the mismatch of SC historical data with IB data. It looks like the data mismatch problem is back. I have Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds checked to speed up intraday update and avoid IB errors when downloading a lot of intraday data.

We understand the problem and we will work on it. But probably not until next week. There was a change with the volume formatting from Interactive Brokers and we made a change to accommodate that but apparently they made a change back to the way it was and we have to change back again. So the responsibility of the problem lies with Interactive Brokers despite any of their claims. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Okay thank you. I have reverted to version 1297 for the meantime. Please advise when you have made the change so I can upgrade to the version that fixes this issue.

I noticed there was a stock volume multiplier under IB Data settings in version 1297 that is gone in version 1332. I had it set at 100 and this helped fix the problem before.

We are still working on this and we will make sure the Filename box has the focus when the File Open window is opened: In version 1332, the cursor defaults to "Search" and I need to click on "Filename" twice before I can enter the symbol and open a new intraday chart.

Hi, has the issue on IB volume been fixed in the latest version? I just want to know if it is now okay to upgrade.
